1. For Rent or For Sale?

Lisitings are divided primarly into Cottages for Rent and Cottages for Sale? You will find a large selection of cottages for Rent.

2. Location

The cottages are grouped by different criteria - the most important one of these being the location of the cottage. If you select Cottages for Rent or Cottages For Sale, you can then pick the area you want to search on.

You can select the geographic area, either by clicking on the map, or using drop downs. For regions which contain a lot of cottages, such as Ontario, a sub-region map may appear.

3. List of Listing and Listing Types

As you get to the actual list that contains several listings, you will see the listings sorted according to listing types. The Premium listings with most information, and photographs appear first, and a slightly darker color. Then the Preferred, and finally Basic listings appear. The Basic listings contain least information, which does not mean that the cottage rentals are not as good as the Premium listings. Obviously, the more information you have, the more likely you are to choose the property, which is why we do not limit the amount of description text owners can post.

4. Filtering

Once you get the results in a list, you can filter it down further based on your preferences. You can select multiple choices, such as non smoking, and pet friendly and then narrow down the results you already chose based on the geographic area.

5. Advanced Search

If there is something very specific you are looking for, go to the Advanced search. There you will be able to choose and combine multiple search options.

Last Minute Specials

Finally, don't forget to check the Last Minute Listings. You may be able to find some nice specials and good bargains there. Owners often pot weeks that are free due to cancellations, or simply want to give you a discount for some of season rentals.
