SPECIAL FEATURES
This 4-season private cottage is located steps from beautiful Norcan Lake and 12 minutes from the Calabogie Peaks ski and golf resort. Hiking and cross-country ski trails are at your doorstep. There is excellent fishing in season for bass, walleye and pike and there are plenty of panfish for the children to catch.
For naturalists the wildlife is amazing. There are deer, moose, raccoons, otters, wolves, red squirrels and chipmunks for you to photograph. Birders will not be disappointed with hummingbirds, grosbeaks, various ducks, eagles (Golden and Bald), partridge, wild turkeys, various hawks, various owls, geese and herons (Please see our website for some beautiful pictures).
The sandy beach is great for building sandcastles, wading and swimming. Complimentary use of badminton sets, horseshoes, paddleboats and a canoe is provided.

INTERIOR DESCRIPTION
The 2-bedroom open plan cottage has a lovely blend of modern amenities, antiques and custom built furniture. The eat-in kitchen has a full-size fridge and stove and is supplied with all your cooking needs, including a microwave, dishes, pots, pans and utensils. The large living room, complete with a fireplace, opens out onto a huge screened-in porch overlooking the lake. Satellite TV (Bell ExpressVu) and High-Speed Wireless Internet access keep you in touch with the world outside. The master bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed. The second bedroom has four single beds and a walk-out to a private deck that overlooks the lake and woodlands.

EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION
The name of the "Store" came from its original function as a local store in the mid 1900's. After a fire the property was rebuilt into a family dwelling. The screened-in porch faces directly onto the lake and has a lovely view of the woodlands. Part of the charm of this cottage is the small private deck off the second bedroom. Two propane BBQs on the upper deck are ready to go.

ACTIVITIES NEARBY
Calabogie Peaks Ski Resort and Golf Centre is 15 minutes away; Burnstown is 20 minutes away and has lovely antique shops, cafés and art stores. Renfrew is a 40 minute drive and Arnprior is 50 minutes away. Canada's capitol Ottawa, is 80 minutes away. Calabogie Adventure Tours and Calabogie Run ATV Trail Tours are both 15 minutes away. The lovely, historic town of Perth is 60 minutes away.
The Store is ideally located for outdoor activities and for exploring some of Ontario's most beautiful and historic cities, towns and villages.

RATE INFORMATION
Prime Season (May 1 - Nov 30): CDN $1300 plus taxes a week for 4 persons or less. For each additional adult add $300 plus taxes per week. For each additional child under 12 years add $150.00 plus taxes per week. The "Store" sleeps a maximum of 6 persons in one double bed and 4 single beds. Weekly rentals only during the High Season. Deposit required.
Off Season (Dec 1 - Apr 30): CDN $750 plus taxes a week for 4 persons or less. For each additional adult add $200 plus taxes per week. For each additional child under 12 years add $75 plus taxes per week.
Christmas and New Year's weeks: $1,400 plus applicable taxes for 4 persons or less. Each additional adult add $300 plus taxes per week. Each additional child under 12 years add $150 plus taxes per week.
Regular Weekend rate: $400 plus taxes for 2 nights for 2 persons. Each additional person add $50.00 plus taxes per person per night.
Long-weekend rate: $500 plus taxes for 3 nights for 2 persons. For extra persons add $50 plus taxes per person per night.
Boat rentals are available: Rental rates depend on the size of the boat and motor rented. Please see our website for complete details.
A deposit (non-refundable) of $300 is required on booking.
Pay by PayPal online, online bank transfer or send a check by mail. Please note we do not accept credit cards except through PayPal. The balance of your account can be paid by cash, travelers check, money order or your personal check, upon registration on arrival.
