This neat and tidy, well equipped, almost 300 sq.ft. waterfront bunkie/cabin has
just about everything you will need for a weekend/mid-week stay away from city
life. Designed as an affordable alternative from regular lodgings and located at
the east end of Palmerston Lake, it is perfect for 1-2 persons only who enjoy the
outdoors and just need a place to lay their heads down at night.
The Guesthouse can also be used as overflow for guests visiting at our other
cottage, The Pioneer. Your hosts are always available for assistance and offer
their guests the use of their main residence telephone as there is no cell phone
service. Parking is provided above lake level behind the cottage, access to the
Guesthouse is via a common stairwell. The boat launch is a very short distance
away.

INTERIOR DESCRIPTION
Similar to a motel style efficiency unit with no separate bedroom, the couch in
the common room pulls out into a double bed for the night.
Two easy chairs, dresser, 2 lamps, lunch counter with 2 chairs and lakeview,
closet, color T.V with VCR/DVD and BELL SATELLITE TV are also included in the main
room. A well stocked kitchenette is equipped with a toaster oven, microwave, 2
burner hotplate, fridge, sink with H/C water, all dishes and cutlery, pots and
pans, toaster, kettle, tea pot etc. making meal preparation convenient. The 3
piece bathroom has a modern one piece shower stall with a glass door, vanity with
sink with H/C water from a 10 gal. hot water tank, mirror and a low flush toilet.
All windows and doors are screened offering a breeze/air exchange from the lake.
The Guesthouse is WINTERIZED and heated with electric heat and plumbed with clean
lake water. 2 blankets,2 pillows,1 comforter are provided. Please bring your own
double sheets and pillow cases, towels, paper products and drinking
water.Smoke/Pet free. No cell service.

EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION
An intimate front yard with picnic table and patio chairs borders the lake, a
sundeck atop a boathouse and an adequately sized screened porch provides comfort
and coziness after a lazy day in this beautiful area in The Land O'Lakes.
Palmerston Lake is a 5 km long spring fed,crystal clean,clear lake offering Lake
Trout and Bass fishing and our shared swimming area offers sandy bottomed,
weedfree swimming. Use of pedalboat. We enjoy offering this smoke/pet free
guesthouse to a single person or couple whose budget is limited,to whom indoor
space is not important and to those who love the outdoors and want an affordable,
waterfront country getaway from hectic city life.

ACTIVITIES NEARBY
Area facilities include convenience Marina/store in Ompah with boat rentals, movie
rentals, gas, bait, licenses etc. The next village of Plevna has a restaurant and
grocery store, also LCBO. Many golf courses located within one hour, skiing at
Calabogie approx. one hour. Located in District 1 of the OFSC snowmobile trail
system, and just minutes from the cottage are groomed OFSC snowmobile and EOTA ATV
trails. Drive to the door access on your snowmobile or ATV in the Winter months.
Regular vehicle and trailer parking is located at the top of the property behind
the cottages with a stairwell to access the cottages. Many other lovely lakes in
the area on crown land with public access, offering good fishing and boating, also
ice fishing. Palmerston Lake is closed for ice fishing in the Winter.

Affordable single person or adult couple(with a small child) off season weekend or
mid-week stay only
$150.00 for 2 nights,$200.00 for 3 nights, 1-2 persons only.
$450.00/WEEKLY.
Deposit may be required at time of reservation either through Canada Post or
Interac email money transfer.
