SPECIAL FEATURES

Professionally designed cottage/home built in 1982 on Sloan lake, one of Yarmouth county's better lakes for fishing. Cottage is situated on 2.5 acres of land with access via dirt road 1/4 mile from highway # 340 in Carleton. It is roughly 1/2 mile from Carleton country store and 20 km's from Yarmouth. Acces to Yarmouth is available via highways 101 and 103, airport with regular flights from Halifax NS and Portland Maine. Also there is ferry service from Portland and Bar Harbour Maine to Yarmouth from May to October.

INTERIOR DESCRIPTION

On the main floor there is a fully equipped modern kitchen, counter with four swivel stools, two piece half bath, two closets, dining area with table expandable to accommodate 6. Kitchen offers open access to living room area which has a sectional sofa and hide abed. All walls are finished with knotty pine . Cathedral ceiling is also knotty pine. Cottage is fully insulated and has sufficient electric baseboard heaters to provide comfortable warmth which is supplemented with a Jotul wood stove. Fire wood is included. Downstairs there are two large bedrooms (each with a large closet), one with a bunk bed with double bed on bottom and single on top along with a futon. The other bedroom has a queen sized bed. All bedding is provided. In the center entryway there is an inflatable bed bringing total sleeping capacity to 9 but sleeps 5 with no crowding what soever.

EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION

Exterior is sided in vertical pine ship lap material. Hot tub is located out side in a very private area 10 feet away from an outdoor fireplace. Firewood is provided. The lake is roughly 300 feet from the cottage and there is a floating dock 8' by 16'. The lake is crystal clear and excellent for swimming or boating.

ACTIVITIES NEARBY

One of south west Nova Scoitia's best beaches is 25 km away at Port Maitland. Yarmouth offers ample shopping and tourist shops, theaters etc.
