Labour Day weekend Sat. - Mon. available The "Cedars" is a BEAUTIFUL and MODERN fully winterized lakeside cottage located just six feet from water's edge (Palmerston Lake). We offer a clean and cozy, smoke-free and pet-free cottage with an ABSOLUTELY STUNNING VIEW of the lake and sunsets!!

This one bedroom cottage sleeps four (Queen Bed in bedroom & Double pull-out couch in Livingroom) and has a Fully Equipped Kitchen, a Four Piece Washroom, Washer & Dryer, Glass Front Wood Stove, Telephone, Satellite Television, VHS/DVD Player and WI-FI Internet. We also provide some board games and cards for family fun!! Heating of the cottage is by wood stove (wood provided) and/or electric baseboard heaters.

The large/private deck overlooks the lake. Swimming in our private beachfront is safe and easily accessible for both children and adults. There is a Public Boat Launch area close by and our large private dock is available for boat mooring, if required. We include the following for your complimentary use during your stay: Outdoor Fireplace (subject to local fire restrictions), Gas BBQ, Picnic Table, Canoe, Pedal Boat, Life Jackets and Swimming Accessories (noodles/floaties, etc.)

Palmerston Lake is a beautiful, pristine, fresh water, spring fed lake located right in the heart of the "Land 'O Lakes" area. The lake itself is 4 km in length, with many scenic bays and coves. It is 56 meters at its deepest point and offers some very good Bass and Trout fishing opportunities. Palmerston Lake is great for summer activities such as swimming, water skiing, boating, sailing, sea-dooing, kayaking, fishing and is also excellent for winter activities including snowmobiling, ATV riding, cross crountry skiing, hiking, ice fishing on nearby lakes and much more. There is a Public Beach nearby (accessible by boat, automobile or walking). Take advantage of the nearby hiking trails which lead to the "Lookout" where you can enjoy spectacular views of Palmerston and Canonto Lakes. You can also visit the Fish Hatchery located within walking distance at the Control Dam between Palmerston and Canonto Lakes. ATV trails are also close by. The area is recognized as a prime destination for Fall hunting activities................ LOCAL SERVICES/SHOPPING: Double "S" Sports & Marina is located in Ompah at the West end of Palmerston Lake - convenient for motorboat and pontoon rentals, fishing supplies and bait, movie rentals, basic grocery needs & more. For your convenience, grocery shopping (Freshmart), restaurant, icecream parlour, mini golf, an LCBO and a bakery (open Spring to Fall) are all available within a 20 minute drive in the Town of Plevna. There is also a Library next to the Fire Hall at the Ompah Community Centre. ................. COMMUNITY EVENTS/ACTIVITIES: This year Double "S" Sports & Marina is providing the following events in Ompah: Spring ATV Run, Saturday, April 27; Fall ATV Run, Saturday, September 21; Palmerston Lake 2-day Bass Derby, June 22-23 Other dates/events will be added as they become available.

During Peak Season (June 28 to Sept 5, 2013), minimum weekly rentals only please...$925/week...... Off Season (Sept to June), rates as low as $115/night week days - (2 night min)..... Off Season Weekends: $250 (2 nights); $300 SPECIAL (3 nights). Not including holiday weekends...... Deposit required to reserve. No deposit required for last minute booking.
