This privately located cottage is built onto the side of a limestone cliff a few short steps from the beach right on Lake Huron. This unique vantage point lets you feel as if you are hovering above the water. Sip a cool drink from either of the two south east facing decks and watch the sailboats or the salmon or rainbow trout fishers. The cottage itself is nestled among cedar trees and is shaded from the all day sun while still allowing for sunbathing on the deck. The beach is typical of Manitoulin Island with fossil rocks everywhere. You can walk with your fishing pole by beach to the mouth of the Manitou River and fish for salmon or rainbow trout. There is a boat launch there that is smooth and shallow. Don't forget your boogie board as there is fresh water surfing within walking distance at the bottom of blue jay creek. bring your lawn chair and spend the day. This is a truly unique piece of property. A short drive from the South Baymouth Ferry and 20 minutes from Mindemoya with groceries, a pharmacy a hospital and a veterinarian. Close to the legendary dunes of carter's bay and Providence Bay. Well mannered pets who are picked up after are welcome.
