SPECIAL FEATURES

We are at the end of a wooded rural cul de sac 30 minutes from downtown Ottawa in the scenic Pontiac of West Quebec. With a smoke-free house (and decks), it is wood-heated in winter and air-conditioned in summer.

INTERIOR DESCRIPTION

In winter, guests enjoy the indoor swim spa (chlorine-free) and cross-country skiing on the river. In summer, one can go swimming, sailing, canoeing, fishing, play beach Volleyball, croquet or horse shoes and relax by the campfire. Nearby are the Luskville Falls and Gatineau Park. Since we are upriver from Ottawa-Gatineau, the swimming is fine. I have a raft anchored in about 12' of water 100' out in front of the beach. For the first 75' off the shore, the water in is shallow and suitable for young children. The hot tub operates all year. However in summer, the temperature moves from about 38 to about 32 degrees Celsius.

EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION

Wanaki's decks and porches overlook a private sandy beach, a 34 km. panoramic view of the Ottawa River and dramatic sunsets. We offer quiet seclusion, in a Viceroy home.

An expansive private sandy beach is in front of the house. Ottawa-Gatineau is 30 minutes away.

RATE INFORMATION

Weekly rates: for 6 persons or less $1250 July - August - 2006 & 5 day-time visitors ($25 per night for additional persons or $100 per week for additional persons - maximum 2)(including children) $1050 June & September $925 October - May(Christmas/New Years +50%) Weekends and long weekends available Sept. through June.
