Welcome to our Salerno Lake Cottage! An exceptional newly renovated 3+ bedroom cottage in the heart of the Haliburton Highlands, Ontario Canada. Naturally beautiful & very private, this year-round cottage features two bedrooms plus a small single bedroom and Bunkie just on the edge of the cottage. The cottage has a new pine open concept kitchen including dishwasher and pine paneling through-out, wood-stove and a huge easterly facing wrap-around deck with BBQ overlooking the lake. Enjoy your morning coffee in the sun on the deck overlooking the lake and then enjoy the afternoon sun and evening down by the water roasting marshmallows and star gazing. Our cottage has a true cottage feel - 3 Bedroom back split, fully renovated and modernized family cottage with guest cabin, located on Salerno Lake. The Cottage is just 10 minutes from Kinmount or 20 minutes from Haliburton and/or Minden and close to Algonquin Park. The cottage has gorgeous views from the deck with 105 feet of private waterfront, private dock, canoe, and two fire-pits to enjoy your cottage experience. Nicely landscaped gardens on different levels lead to the dock and waterfront with easterly exposure on a quiet part of Salerno Lake. The crystal clear waterfront offers a shallow, sandy section for younger children while the better swimmers will enjoy good depth off the dock. Enjoy the canoe or moor your own boat at the dock. The lake is of a good size for tubing and water-skiing, so bring along your toys. Perfect for family vacations and romantic escapes. Excellent privacy on a 2 chain lake. Completely modern and furnished, immaculate. Excellent hiking, fishing, swimming, canoeing on site. Our Salerno Lake Cottage is an extremely comfortable year-round home, which sleeps in the summer up to 8 people ; 1 queen, 2dbl beds, queen pull out couch + single bed. The Bunkie is beautifully located right next door to the cottage. Our cottage is fully equipped to a high standard and includes satellite TV and DVD systems, a CD stereo system, and a dishwasher; linens, bedding and towels are NOT supplied. Our guests also have full use of our canoe, together with 2 adult and 2 children's-size personal flotation devices and all mandatory safety equipment. The cottage has an easterly facing upper deck overlooking the lake. The deck houses a gas-fired BBQ and patio furniture for those warm sunny days and balmy evenings sitting under a canopy of stars. In addition, there is a dock with a sandy entry into the lake. The lake is great for swimming with shallow sandy entry and gradually increasing depth. The water is approximately 5 feet in depth off the far end of the dock. It is fairly shallow and not recommend for diving, however able to accommodate boat docking. A public boat launch is just minutes away. There is a small fresh water stream located 80 feet from the dock – known for its great fishing and loon sightings.

Salerno Lake, formerly Devil's Lake, is a lake in Ontario's cottage country. It is an approximately 2 hours drive away from Toronto. Salerno Lake is about 4 miles long. It is a narrow lake that resembles a large river. The lake is in a big valley, and most places in the lake are about 25 feet deep, but there are two spots where it can get as deep as 45 feet. The lake falls in two municipalities: Highlands East and Minden Hills in Haliburton County. To reach Salerno Lake from the GTA, take the following highways, always travelling north or east: Highway 48, Highway 12, Highway 35, Highway 45, Highway 503 to Irondale. Close towns to the lake include Kinmount and Gooderham. Haliburton & Minden is slightly further away, but still within a reasonable drive (20-35 minutes). White Lake empties into Salerno Lake, which empties into the Irondale River, which empties into Burnt River. Like all of the water bodies in this system, the lake was used to transport logs to Toronto in the 19th and 20th Century. The cottage is located just over 2 hours northeast of Toronto, 40 minutes drive north of the medium-sized town of Peterborough.. It is ideally placed for exploring the Haliburton Highlands and Algonquin National Park to the north and the Kawarthas to the south, both areas of outstanding natural beauty. It is also close to the many groomed and signposted snowmobile and cross-country ski trails that criss-cross Ontario.

Mid-week special $600 (Monday - Friday) 3 Night Rental $500, 8 people max. 2 Night Rental $400, 8 people max. High Season June 12 – September 18, 2010 7 Night Full Week Rentals Only $1300.00 p/wk, 8 people max.
